Amy Davis

“My life changed one day in a high school art class when I was asked to remove my shoe and draw it. I added a small prickly gremlin hiding inside. I like to think of that gremlin as my creative spark. There from the beginning and always nearby. Bringing me shiny little ideas but rarely appearing when summoned. It’s quick, it’s loud, it’s pokey, and it pushes me to explore and try to make sense of who I am.”

 

Amy Davis studied ceramics and history at Piedmont College in Georgia. She has spent her career as a graphic designer and glass artisan and is the former owner of Monster Dance Designs, an engraving studio. Based in Austin, TX, she currently works in art restoration and enjoys paddleboarding, reading, and role-playing games.  Amy finds inspiration in the feel of air and water, from the wonders of science, and in quiet peaceful pockets where echoes of the past can be felt.
